Con il suo vero nome Elizabeth Grant aveva già tentato di sfondare nel mondo musicale senza riuscirsi,quindi che fa? Nuove canzoni,nuovo nome e nuove labbra
ed esplode cosi il fenomeno "Lana Del Rey" da molti acclamata come la Adele del 2012,ma le due ragazze hanno molto poco in comune.
Ho avuto modo di ascoltare L'album di Lana e sono rimasto piacevolmente sorpreso,mi  aspettavo un album piatto,monocorde,invece è pieno di sfumature e di influenze musicali.
La voce calda di Lana del rey conferisce al disco delle atmosfere retro  e dark.
Sono rimasto sorpreso per le traccie Off to the Races e Diet Mountain Dew
