The 29 year old recorded around 70 songs to be whittled down for the album, and has said that she has found it difficult to put the new material in a single genre so has instead just concentrated on her vocal rather than worry if it “fits”.
“I don’t know what genre it is,” she said. “There really isn’t a genre for it. I wanted to focus on bridges, choruses and melodies. I gave myself a lot more freedom to really belt out some of the songs.”
